Musashi project

Normally, i don't do naval ships for my projects. However, i really wanted to go all out on a naval ship. I have seen some fantastic works by people and wanted to do one the same. There are so many aftermarket part options for naval kits that it could make you go bankrupt. I also had the desire to do one of the larger sized kits, so i didn't want to choose anything smaller than 1/350 scale.
I either wanted to do the Bismark or the Yamato because they were known to be the biggest of the big. I found the Musashi kit on E-Bay for 40 bucks, so i decided to go with that since it is really the same as the Yamato before the refit in the mid 40s and one of the 2 largest battleships to be constructed (Yamato being the other).

The downfall of the Musashi is that it doesn't have anything close to the amount of aftermarket parts that the Yamato does, but went with it anyway. I figured that at the very least, i could use a set of Yamato photo etch parts and make them work as they shouldn't be that different. So far, so good.
I found a Flyhawk kit on eBay as well for about $70 USD that was an extensive photo etch set for the ship, and should give me all the parts to make it a great finish. I ended up buying an Eduard photo etch set as well because it had some things that the Flyhawk kit did not. Below, i have listed the full parts list as well as approximate cost.
